The Enrichmond Foundation is excited bring back the Kickin’ Chicken WingFest to the 17th Street Farmers’ Market on October 18, from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. The event is presented by Center of the Universe Brewing. This unique festival celebrates fall, friends, wings and beer!
The will be more than 20 local restaurants including Mama J’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Alamo BBQ, En Su Boca, The Grapevine, On The Rox, and Shockoe Whiskey and Wine.
There also will be two exciting contests at this event.
People’s Choice Award – Event attendees will have the opportunity to cast ballots for their favorite wing of the festival. Last year, On The Rox claimed the title and is looking to defend it!
RVA Wing King Competition presented by Buffalo Wild Wings-
Think you have what it takes to be the next RVA Wing King? Join us at Buffalo Wild Wings in Shockoe Bottom for the preliminary wing eating satellite rounds on October 8th and 15th. Participants will have 10 minutes to consume as many wings at possible. The top four competitors from each round will advance to become one of the finalists at the Kickin’ Chicken WingFest on October 18th at the 17th Street Farmers’ Market.
Participants must be 18 years or older and sign a waiver at registration. The October 18 winner will be crowned the RVA Wing King and receive a $500 cash prize.
Kickin’ Chicken WingFest Entertainment Schedule
All Day- NFL games will be playing on big screen TV’s in two designated dining tent areas.
12 p.m. – A DJ and wing eating competition emcee will be entertaining the crowd in preparation for the final round of the Wing Eating Competition.
2:30 p.m. – Final round of the Wing Eating Competition. Winner will be crowned the RVA Wing King!
3 p.m. – 17th Street Farmers’ Market favorite Dance Candy will be taking the stage until 5 p.m. to finish out the party!
Free to attend. Food and beverages will available for purchase.
