Join us for Brunswick Stew and Stout Festival on Saturday, November 7, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m at the 17th Street Farmers’ Market. The Brunswick Stew Festival is a celebration of regional stew and has been held at the Historic 17th Street Farmers’ Market since it began in 1999. New this year will be RVA essential-fall-themed stouts and porters! This event promises to entertain with an expected crowd of 5,000, with over 12 Stewmasters, 15 stews, 18 Virginia breweries, merchant vendors and a children’s area.

Admission to this event is free and just $1 per sample of stew. After 1 p.m., you can purchase pints, bowls and quarts of stew directly from the Stewmasters. Prices range from $7-9.

Beer tickets will be sold for $1 each. Two tickets for samples and six tickets for full pours. There will be special tappings of limited availability RVA brews throughout the day. See the 17th Street Farmers’ Market Facebook Page for more information on the specific beers and tapping times. Participating breweries include Hardywood, Legend, Devil’s Backbone, Ardent, Starr Hill, and so many more!

There will be live music all day. At 2 p.m. The Bellevue Rhythmaires, the brainchild of reknown local musician Charles Arthur, will take the stage! The group is a twangy acoustic/bluegrass band from Richmond, VA that is equally adept at playing bluegrass, rock, country, jazz, and soul music.

Hosted by The City of Richmond the Brunswick Stew and Stout Festival benefits the Enrichmond Foundation and is one of the best events the Fall has to offer.
