City government offices, including City Hall, will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25 for the Christmas holiday. City offices will reopen at regular business hours on Dec. 28. City government offices are also closed on Friday, January 1, 2016. City offices will reopen at regular business hours on Monday, January 4.
Richmond Public Libraries will be closed Dec. 24 through Dec. 27. Libraries will reopen at regular business hours on Dec. 28. All City libraries will close at 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 and are closed on Jan. 1. Libraries will resume regular hours on Jan. 2. Broad Rock Library is normally open on Sundays, but will be closed on Dec. 27 and January 3.
Beginning on Dec. 21, the City’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities’ Pine Camp Arts and Community Center will open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, with the exception of Dec. 24, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1 when it will be closed. The following community centers will open weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the exception of Dec. 24, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1.

All City community centers will resume regular operating hours on Jan. 4
Richmond Animal Care and Control (RAC&C) will be closed Dec. 24 – 27 and on Jan. 1. Current volunteers are welcome to come to the shelter between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. during this closure with the exception of Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
The Department of Public Works solid waste residential collection schedule for the weeks of Dec. 21 and Dec. 28 will not change, as refuse will be collected Monday through Thursday as normal.
The East Richmond Road Convenience Center (ERRCC) will be closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25. ERRCC will reopen on Dec. 28. ERRCC will be closed Jan. 1, 2016 and will reopen on Jan. 4.
The Hopkins Road Transfer Station will be closed on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, 2016. Each facility’s normal schedule will resume on Saturday, January 3.
