VirginiaP2 Releases Eight Part Candidate Questionnaire Video Series

The Virginia Prosperity Project (VirginiaP2), a respected source for informing voters in Virginia, kicked-off the first of its eight part candidate questionnaire video series today. The first of the video responses is centered on the state of Virginia’s business climate, with pointed responses from Ken Cuccinelli, Terry McAuliffe, E.W. Jackson and Ralph Northam.
Key takeaways from the candidates include making Virginia more competitive by, “Lowering both the business income tax and the personal income tax, to 4 and 5 percent respectively,” said Ken Cuccinelli. Terry McAuliffe stated that, “You can’t propose tax cuts without saying how you are going to pay for them, and the problem could be that you end up cutting education at a time when we should be investing in education.”
“The candidate videos focus on eight specific topics ranging from business climate, workforce, healthcare, taxation, and Virginia’s regulatory system. This is an opportunity for the public and employers and employees to compare and contrast the candidates on the issues that matter to them most,” said Ryan Dunn, executive director of VirginiaP2.
