In the wake of the recent inclement winter weather and ahead of more winter storms, the Department of Public Works will begin a week long pothole blitz throughout the city starting December 14.
Pothole blitzes usually begin in the spring, when the majority of winter storms have passed.
“Winter weather arrived early this year, therefore the need for us to provide winter maintenance arrived early,” said Public Works Director Bobby Vincent.
During the blitz crews will be deployed to address potholes and pavement failures occurring as a result of the most recent cold weather and snowstorm.
The blitz will run through December 22.
