City Government 2017/2018 Winter Holiday Schedule

City government offices, including City Hall, will close at noon on Friday, December 22 and will remain closed through Tuesday, December 26 for the winter holiday. City offices will reopen at regular business hours on Wednesday, December 27. City government offices are also closed on Monday, January 1 and Tuesday, January 2, 2018. City offices will reopen at regular business hours on Wednesday, January 3.

Richmond Public Libraries will close at noon on December 22, and will remained closed through December 26. Libraries will reopen at regular business hours on December 27. Broad Rock Library will be closed on Sunday, December 31. All libraries will be closed January 1 – 2 and reopen on January 3.

All city community centers will be closed December 25 – 26, 2017 and January 1 – 2, 2018. From December 18 – 21 and December 27 – 29, the city’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Facilities’ Pine Camp Arts and Community Center will be open from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and the following community centers will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Powhatan Community Center 5051 Northampton S.
Randolph Community Center 1415 Grayland Ave.
Whitcomb Community Center 2302 Carmine St.

On December 22, all city community centers will be open from 11:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., and regular operating hours will resume on January 3, 2018.

Richmond Animal Care and Control (RACC) will be closed December 24 – 26 and on January 1 – 2.

The Department of Public Works solid waste residential collection schedule for the week of December 25 will be delayed one day, and refuse collection will occur Tuesday, December 26 – Friday, December 29, 2017. Refuse collection will also be delayed one day for the week of January 1, and collection will occur Tuesday, January 2 – Friday, January 5, 2018.

The East Richmond Road Convenience Center (ERRCC) will be closed December 25 – 26. ERRCC will reopen on December 27. ERRCC will also be closed January 1 – 2, 2018, and will reopen on January 3.

The Hopkins Road Transfer Station will be closed on December 25 and January 1.
