Sales Tax Holiday, August 2-4
This weekend is a great opportunity to buy all those back-to-school supplies and save money. Virginia’s sales tax free holiday begins Friday, August 2 and runs through Sunday, August 4. On these three days, you can buy school supplies, clothes, backpacks and some electronics, without paying Virginia’s five percent sales tax. School supplies must cost less than $20 a piece and clothing must cost $100 or less. For more details and a complete list of applicable items, click here.
