Just in Time for Holiday Gift Giving
The City of Richmond and Venture Richmond announce
the “official” RVA license plate
The results of the RVA Creates open-source branding initiative have been overwhelming. Over 200,000 RVA stickers have been distributed throughout the region and are proudly displayed on cars, bikes, trucks, laptops, etc. Hundreds, if not thousands of Richmond businesses have adopted the RVA brand. Countless pieces of RVA branded merchandise have been produced and sold. So what’s next? The official RVA Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) license plate!
Venture Richmond and the City of Richmond must pre-sell 350+ RVA license plates before they can submit the proposed design to DMV. Once they have collected the 350+ pre-paid applications and submit them to DMV it can take up to 9 months to finalize and have the plates produced. To preorder your license plate, log onto www.rvalicenseplate.com and fill out the application. The cost of this license plate is $10.00 annually or $20 for a personalized plate or transfer.
The plate was designed to DMV standards by J H I for Venture Richmond, the City of Richmond and the RVA Creates team. Scott Pharr and PharrOut developed the rvalicenseplate website for the project.
