Specialty fashion brand, Free People, will bring its coveted assortment to Richmond, Virginia on June 27, 2014, opening at Short Pump Town Center. The 2,900 square foot location will be the brand’s 96th boutique and the first in the greater Richmond area. In addition to stocking the signature bohemian styles Free People is known for, the boutique’s opening assortment will highlight summer pieces along with a preview of an all new fall collection.
“We are thrilled to be opening at Short Pump Town Center,” says Free People Director of Retail, Beth Wehagen. “The open air setting and strong community focus mirror the environment we strive for at Free People.”
At the store’s opening, customers will find a mix of summer items alongside pieces to get ready for fall. The large format space allows the brand to house everything from warm weather strappy pieces such as tops and dresses, to menswear-inspired jackets and bottoms for fall. Accommodating the local style, the assortment will include a large selection of feminine dresses and skirts in a variety of shapes and silhouettes. The location will also offer a full assortment of Intimately Free People, the brand’s coveted line of bras, undies, slips, seamless layering pieces, and loungewear.
The space has been designed to mirror the Free People girl’s globe travelling lifestyle and the collections that she curates and displays. Customers will be greeted with a hand-carved teak entry surrounded with decorative metal grilles in a burnished rust finish. Elements throughout include mica plaster finishes, rough sawn maple beams, white washed wood planks, and hand carved wooden slat walls. An installation of starburst lanterns illuminates the centrally located cashwrap.
Each Free People store offers personalized shopping experiences from a team of expert stylists. Customers can schedule a one-on-one appointment with their favorite stylist, as well as interact and gain inspiration through the brand’s online Style Community, FP Me. In addition to offering personal styling, fans can look forward to a variety of in-store events to be hosted at the Free People Short Pump Town Center boutique throughout the year.
Free People will be located at Short Pump Town Center, 11800 W. Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23233. Store hours will run Monday-Saturday 10am-9pm, and Sunday 12pm-6pm.
