Join the Sports Backers and the City of Richmond this weekend at the third-annual RVA Streets Alive! On Saturday, June 20, 2015, this free event will close down a route in Byrd Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in order for residents to use the roadway for activities. There will be over 50 health and wellness related vendors along the course, all offering health, wellness, and fitness activities.

ROAD CLOSURES:
RVA Streets Alive! will take place in Byrd Park and encompass the areas between Fountain Lake and Shields Lake. The event will close Boat Lake Drive, Swan Lake Drive, Lake Road, and Amelia Street between Shields Lake and Swan Lake to allow residents and visitors to use these streets to be active through running, walking, biking, and many other physical activities. All roads that are part of the RVA Streets Alive! course will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 20.

MEDIA PARKING:
Parking is available at John B. Cary Elementary School, 3021 Maplewood Avenue, near the intersection of Maplewood Ave. and S. Belmont Ave. Street parking is also available.
