The Enrichmond Foundation, in partnership with Devils Backbone Brewing Company, will host the 4th Annual Richmond Bacon Festival on Sunday, June 12 at the 17th Street Farmers’ Market from
11 a.m – 5 p.m.

Forty of RVA’s best restaurants and food trucks are bringing their favorite bacon-centric dishes to this all day bacon party! Sample everything from bacon-infused fried oysters, bacon mac- n-cheese, bacon brisket, bacon sliders, and bacon empanadas to bacon pecan cobbler and strawberry short cake topped with bacon. Sample plates are just $4 each, so you can sample all your favorite restaurants, and try some new ones too.

Returning Bacon Festival favorites include Mama J’s, The Blue Goat, Halligan’s Bar and Grill, Casa del Barco, Gelati Celesti, Strawberry Street Café, King of Pops, Carytown Burgers and Fries, Slideways Mobile Bistro, and The Fat Dragon. The event will feature eight new food vendors who will be joining for the first time.

Devils Backbone Brewing Company has certainly delivered an awesome selection of craft beers that will be available at this year’s festival. In addition to the old favorites, for the first time ever, you can get both the Hot Shot IPA and Tropical Thunder- from their Family Beer Project. Devils Backbone’s Striped Bass will also be featured. A portion of the proceeds from this popular brew benefit the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.

There is a $1 suggested donation to the Enrichmond Foundation upon entry. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased by credit card or cash, however some food vendors may be accepting cash only.

There will be free and paid parking in lots surrounding the 17th Street Farmers’ Market.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Enrichmond Foundation. The Enrichmond foundation is an umbrella non-profit organization that serves over 100 parks and recreation partner groups in the City of Richmond. Enrichmond’s mission is to serve the people, parks, and public spaces in the City of Richmond. Enrichmond Partners are given the opportunity to apply for grants and solicit tax-deductible contributions.
