Join Enrichmond at the 17th Street Farmers’ Market Sunday, October 16 from noon to 5 p.m. for the 2016 Kickin’ Chicken WingFest!!!
Enrichmond is partnering with Center of the Universe and Buffalo Wild Wings for this fun and exciting event. Join the celebration for the start of fall, football, wings and beer.
Twelve vendors will battle in the kitchen to see who is the true champion of wings, and earn the title of; Best Wings in Richmond. Returning this year are Africanne on Main, Alamo, Buffalo Wild Wings, Mama J’s, Nader’s, The Boardwalk Food Truck and Shockoe Bottom’s very own The Halligan Bar. Joining the festival for the first time are BoDillaz, Inner City Blues, Legend Brewery, Live Your Dreams BBQ and T-Miller’s.
Festival attendees will have the opportunity to cast a ballot for their favorite wings, cheer on participants in the RVA Wing King Wing Eating Competition presented by Buffalo Wild Wings, all while enjoying NFL Sunday on the big screen. Other activities will include live entertainment and local retail vendors.
RVA’s Wing King Wing Eating Contest
Think you have what it takes to be RVA’s Wing King? Join in the fun at Buffalo Wild Wings in Shockoe Bottom, 1501 East Cary Street, for the preliminary wing eating satellite rounds on Thursday, October 6 and 13. Participates will have 10 minutes to devour as many wings as possible. The top 4 from each round qualify to compete at the festival’s Wing King Competition Sunday, October 16, at
2 p.m. at the 17th Street Farmers’ Market.
Participants must be 18 years or older and sign a waiver at registration. The October 16 winner will be crowned RVA Wing King.
Satellite Rounds
Round #1: Thursday, October 6 at Buffalo Wild Wings – Shockoe Bottom 1501 East Cary Street. Registration at 5:30 p.m.‐ 6:30 p.m. Competition at 7 p.m.
Round #2: Thursday, October 13 at Buffalo Wild Wings – Shockoe Bottom 1501 East Cary Street. Registration at 5:30 p.m.‐ 6:30 p.m. Competition at 7 p.m.
Entertainment Schedule
noon – Field Show Performance/Festival Opening by Richmond’s very own Thomas Jefferson High School Viking Marching Band
12:30 p.m. – DJ on the Main Stage
1 p.m. – Eagles vs. Redskins on the Big Screen
2 p.m. – Wing Eating Competition featuring 8 semi finalists from the satellite rounds, 2014 & 2015 reigning RVA Wing King Michael Longo and 1 Amateur contestant
2:45 p.m. – Announce RVA’s Wing King & Best Wings in Richmond
3 p.m. – Live Music by Center Stage
Center of the Universe will provide the brews and will have their Slingshot Kolsch, Chin Music Amber Lager, Ray Ray’s Extra Pale Ale, Pocahoptas IPA, Oktoberfest and Wort Share Maple Brown Ale.
There is a suggested donation of $1 for each festival attendee. Food and beverage is available for purchase, so come ready to sample wings and vote for your favorite!
Beer tickets can be purchased with cash or credit, but we recommend having cash on‐hand for food vendors.
Lawn chairs are welcomed!
Ample parking is available. There are several parking lots in the vicinity – free and paid.
