Virginia Beach Health District Confirms its Third COVID-19 Case
The Virginia Beach Health Department has reported its third case of COVID-19 in the Health District. The positive case is an eighty year old male. The resident has a history of international travel to an area affected by COVID-19. Upon return to the U.S., he followed guidelines to remain at home and limit his contact with others. Upon development of symptoms, he was tested through the Department of Consolidated Laboratory Services. The Virginia Beach Health Department was notified early on March 14 of the positive test results for COVID-19. To protect patient privacy, the health district will provide no further information about the patient. This case will be included in the statewide count of cases March 14 at www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus.
