Many Assisted Living resources are available on SeniorsGuideOnline.com, a website helping older adults and the families find senior housing in Virginia, North Carolina, Ohio, and Indiana.

“Assisted Living is one of the more popular ‘next steps’ in one’s life if they are no longer able to care for themselves”, says Katharine Ross, Vice President of Seniors Guide Magazine and SeniorsGuideOnline.com.

The most recent “United States of Aging” survey found that adults ages 60+ who live alone would turn to assisted living and community support programs if they were no longer able to care for themselves.

“Many Assisted Living communities offer Alzheimer’s and dementia assistance, as well as memory care programs for their residents”, says Ross.

The “United States of Aging” survey also showed that seniors are more optimistic than ever about moving into an assisted living or retirement home.

Of the adults ages 60+ asked, only 2% said that moving into an assisted living or retirement home was what they worried most about their senior years.

While the survey showed a positive view on moving into a retirement community, one concern that kept popping up was how to pay for assisted living. Seniors overwhelmingly wanted the government to look into investing into assisted living for them when they need it.

Visitors to http://www.SeniorsGuideOnline.com are encouraged to tour assisted living retirement communities, and contact someone at admissions to learn more about payment options.

“Assisted Living Communities are very good at working with residents and their families to find the most affordable option of care”, says Ross.
