Brazos River to Reach Record Levels
Good Afternoon Richmond,
As you can see in the images, we now have a prediction from the National Weather Service of the Brazos River reaching a level of 59 feet. This level would be 5 feet above the record flood of May 2016. Needless to say this could create an extremely dangerous situation for residents in flood prone areas.
We are including a flood zone map to help you determine if you are in danger of flooding. Please take caution.
We are expecting several more inches of rain throughout the night.
We will be here 24/7 monitoring the situation for you.
City of Richmond Offices will be closed on Monday August 28th. Check back for updates. For more information, please call the Richmond Emergency Operations Center at (281) 232-6871.
