~ Primary election on June 9 ~
During the Tuesday, June 9 primary election, special on-street parking restrictions will be in place near polling locations in order to accommodate chief election officers and those working the polls. Parking will be prohibited downtown in the vicinity of City Hall in the following areas from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday.
• Three parking meters/pay stations on the west side of the Main Library
• All parking meters/pay stations on 9th Street and10th Street between Broad and Marshall streets and on the north side of Marshall Street between 9th and 10th streets
In addition, special parking will be designated on the north side Palmyra Avenue, as the Hermitage Methodist Home at 1601 Palmyra Avenue is a polling location.
On Wednesday, June 10, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. the same restrictions will apply near City Hall.
All restricted meters will be marked accordingly. Unauthorized vehicles will be ticketed and/or towed while these restrictions are in place.
