The 3rd Richmond Bacon Festival is back! Last year a record-breaking crowd came out to the 17th Street Farmers’ Market in Shockoe Bottom. More than 40 Richmond restaurants and food trucks will bring their creative minds to the event this year, each one offering their own favorite bacon-centric dishes. Sample everything from bacon-infused sliders, ribs, clam cakes and mac- n-cheese to maple-bacon lattes and chocolate bacon ice pops and sundaes. Plates are just $4 each, so you can sample all your favorite restaurants, and try something new.
The children’s area will offer family entertainment to kids of all ages. Enjoy face painting, bacon-themed henna tattoos, and a craft market. The music stage will be live throughout the day, featuring local favorites Dance Candy and The Big Payback.
The 3rd Richmond Bacon Festival is a fundraiser homegrown in Richmond, VA by Enrichmond, Devils Backbone, and the 17th Street Farmers’ Market. This event is free and open to the public. Food and beverage will be available for purchase. Proceeds benefit the Enrichmond Foundation.
