Are you a fan of oysters?

Enrichmond is hosting the 9th Annual Shockoe On The Half Shell, oyster festival Sunday, September 11 at the Historic 17th Street Farmers’ Market from noon – 5 p.m.

This year’s festival will feature oysters shucked, grilled and fried, from The Boathouse, The Savory Grain, Vogt Oyster Company and Northern Neck Oyster & Seafood Company. Vegetarian options will be available as well.

Brown Distributing will have domestic beers as well as an oyster craft brew, and Tap26 will supply white, red, and sparkling wine.

Deserts will be provided by Monique’s Crepes, and Soul-‐Ice will be selling cool teats.

As always, there will be live entertainment, with Drymill Road playing bluegrass, and plenty of retail vendors for purchasing items.

There is a suggested donation of $1 for each festival attendee. Food and beverage is available for purchase. Beer tickets can be purchased with cash or credit, but it is recommend to have cash for the various food vendors.

Ample parking is available, both free and paid.

All proceeds from this event will support Enrichmond Foundation. The Enrichmond Foundation is an umbrella non-‐profit that serves over 130 parks and recreation partner groups in the City of Richmond. Enrichmond’s mission is to serve the people, parks and public spaces of Richmond.
