CRichmond’s Department of Finance will offer tax payment services for citizens in advance of the city’s personal property tax due date of June 5. This will be the first time Richmond has provided this service, and it will take place at both City Hall (900 E. Broad St.) and Southside Plaza (4100 Hull Street Rd.) on Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

“This is essentially a customer service improvement for taxpayers,” said Mayor Stoney. “It is part of my administration’s initiative to make city services more proactively available, and I commend our deputy chief administrative officer for finance and administration, Lenora Reid, as well as our director of finance, John Wack, for making this happen this year.”

City finance staff will be on hand with multiple cashiers along with representatives from the city’s taxing authority consulting services (TACS) to receive payments and assist citizens with questions, problems and concerns.

On Monday, June 5, the finance department’s East End branch location (701 N. 25th St.) will also be open, in addition to the locations at City Hall and Southside Plaza.
